William M. Dietel is a former teacher, dean, and principal who ventured into philanthropy in 1970 with the Rockefeller family serving as the Executive Vice President and President of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) in New York City. Prior to his time with RBF, Bill was Headmaster of the Emma Willard School, the nation’s oldest private independent school for girls. He was Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor of the Humanities at Amherst College and an instructor of History at the University of Massachusetts and University of Connecticut.
