Richard Marker is a 3rd generation family funder. His firm, Wise Philanthropy, provides strategy and evaluation advisory service to funders around the world. He also teaches in two university programs exclusively for philanthropists, foundations, and families: at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for High Impact Philanthropy and at New York University’s Program in Funder Education (previously known at the Academy for Funder Education). Marker is a popular speaker in the field, having spoken in 39 countries on 5 continents, and in 40 of the United States. His blog WisePhilanthropy.com is often syndicated. Marker is the author of Saying ‘Yes’ Wisely: Insights for the Thoughtful Philanthropist and has been interviewed and quoted by many prominent publications.
