Peter Marks is a lifelong non-profit worker in the fields of microenterprise, sustainable agriculture, and international development. He entered the world of family philanthropy in 2021 as Executive Director of The L.B. Research and Education Foundation, where he has both administrative and programmatic duties. At L.B., Peter works closely with an active Board that is geographically dispersed and consists of 1/4 family of the founder and 3/4 non-family. He lives with his wife in Asheville, North Carolina, a couple doors down from 4 grandchildren.
