Patricia Sauer and her husband Gary created the Sauer Family Foundation in 1996 to invest in strengthening the well-being of children so they thrive in their families and communities. Pat has served as Chair of the Board for most of the 25 years. Pat & Gary have four adult children and nine grandchildren, who have all been involved with the Foundation throughout the years in various roles.
Pat has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. She has launched three separate retail businesses in the Twin Cities and has been an active volunteer with dozens of church, school, and community organizations all focused on helping children who seemed invisible. She has also held board positions at Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis and Young Audiences of MN, as well as serving on various advisory boards.
