Monica George serves as Program Officer for Asset Funders Network’s Chicago Chapter. Monica is a trustee of the Conant Family Foundation that advocates for and supports organizations engaged in advancing racial, economic and gender justice.
Her experience in the nonprofit sector includes serving as the Director of Operations and Interim Executive Director of CircEsteem an after school youth arts program and as the development consultant for Chicago United for Equity, a people-led movement activating our schools, neighborhoods, and government to end racial inequity. Most recently she provided development and communications services to AgeOptions, a non-profit serving seniors and their families throughout Cook County, Illinois. Her other philanthropic experience includes the Chicago Community Trust’s Civic Engagement Team organizing programs and events. Monica is a member of Chicago Women in Philanthropy, the Solidaire Network, Impact Grants Chicago, the Chicago Committee for Human Rights Watch, Resource Generation, Partners in Health, and Chicago Foundation for Women. Monica has a BA and BM (Music Composition) from Oberlin and a certificate in Non-Profit Management from NorthPark University Graduate School.
