A former ballet dancer, Lisa knows how to bring a blend of flexibility and discipline to all her work. Her career in office dynamics management and human resources began at a start-up production company in Manhattan, where she worked with several artists who needed someone grounded to handle the un-artsy side of business. She then worked at an education nonprofit in New York City public schools before moving to Seattle and joining Philanthropy Northwest in 2011. Previosly at Philanthropy Northwest team, she worked closely with the board of directors and managed all HR activities. She is excited about her new role as The Giving Practice’s first business partner, finding new ways to support and strengthen the ever-evolving consulting team.
After being raised in rural North Dakota and then spending a decade in New York City, Lisa loves the combination of urban and rural character in our majestic region, and is proud to work at an organization with the mission of building stronger communities here. Lisa is a board member with Seattle Civic Dance Theater. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baruch College. In her free time, you can find her trying to keep up with her grade-schooler’s social calendar, gardening with her pre-schooler, or sipping a home-brewed beer with her husband.
