Laura Collins

Director, Exempt Organizations, KPMG

Laura Collins is a Director in KPMG’s Exempt Organizations tax practice.  Laura has worked exclusively with exempt organizations for more than 25 years.  She serves private foundations and public charities along with publicly-traded and privately-held companies relative to their direct and indirect corporate philanthropy efforts.  Laura was also selected to provide compliance services to  KPMG’s own foundation, the KPMG U.S. Foundation.  Laura practices as a licensed Certified Public Accountant.  A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Laura attended Salem College where she earned her B.A in History and Economics.  Subsequently, Laura earned her Masters of Science of Accountancy from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She enjoys cooking, walking her dog, and skiing.  As a Board member of ArtsGreensboro, her community’s local arts council, she served as Chair of its Grant Committee and as a member of its Governance Task Force.  Laura also serves on her local hospital’s Institutional Advancement Committee.
