Kerry McHugh

Program Officer, The Helen J. Serini Foundation

Kerry McHugh is the Program Officer for The Helen J. Serini Foundation, named after her grandmother, where she oversees the foundation’s grantmaking activities and funder collaboratives. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked in advertising and communications with government and non-profit clients, with a specific focus on behavior change and community-based marketing campaigns. Kerry also serves on the board of Exponent Philanthropy, a national association for philanthropies who operate with few or no staff, and as a trustee of the Ausherman Family Foundation, which works to strengthen community in Frederick County. She speaks regularly about engaging the next generation of non-profit and philanthropic leaders in the sector, including facilitating Exponent Philanthropy’s annual Next Gen Fellows program and co-leading the Rising Leaders Affinity Group at the Maryland Philanthropy Network.
