Joanne E. Cohen is the Vice President of Philanthropic Services for The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. Cohen joined the Foundation in August of 2012. For the prior ten years, she was the Assistant Executive Director of Jacksonville Jewish Federation, responsible for a $2 million annual campaign. Her experience includes work at the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton, LexisNexis, The Education Law Center and Association of Retarded Citizens, both in Pittsburgh.
She provides staff leadership of The Donors’ Forum of Northeast Florida, the Weaver Philanthropic Initiative program for Next Gen philanthropists and three giving circles: the Women’s Giving Alliance, a giving circle with over 400 female members, the Beaches Community Fund where donors are focused on geographic needs and the MyVillage Community Fund working to educate and increase philanthropy in the African American Community. She works closely with donors to provide deeper service and attention to their philanthropic vision.
