Christopher Blume

Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Management Group, Goldman Sachs

Chris Blume is the Chief Investment Officer of the Portfolio Management Group, which provides portfolio management services to the firm’s institutional clients. Prior to joining the Portfolio Management Group, Chris was a senior member of the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) where he was responsible for developing market and economic views and advising clients on both strategic and tactical asset allocations. During his time in the ISG role, Chris spent two years in Hong Kong to establish the group’s presence in the region. Chris spent the first ten years of his career at Goldman Sachs as a fixed income portfolio manager in Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he managed portfolios for central banks, pensions, insurance companies, and foundations. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1994 and was named a Managing Director in 2006. Chris earned a BS from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He serves as a member of the University of Pennsylvania Cross Country/Track and Field board.
