Christine Zachai is the Executive Director of the Three Thirty Three Foundation, which seeks to open doors to basic human needs, education, the arts, and our natural surroundings for Vermonters. Prior to becoming the first staff person of the Foundation in 2022, Zachai founded Forward Philanthropy in 2011, a BCorp-certified philanthropic advising firm supporting individuals, families, foundations, and corporations in strategic and satisfying philanthropy. Over the course of 12 years, Zachai helped philanthropists of all kinds to articulate their vision, craft and execute strategic plans, and integrate multi-generational families.

Previously, Zachai served as Executive Director of the Vermont Women’s Fund of the Vermont Community Foundation, and subsequently the Executive Director of the Permanent Fund for Vermont Children. Her prior years in the nonprofit sector ensure she remains empathetic to the needs of grantees. She’s proud to have served as an AmeriCorps member in the second year of the program many years ago.

She lives in Montpelier, Vermont, where she believes in getting outside as often as possible, the satisfaction that comes with getting dirty, and being friends with your neighbors.
