Bob Abernethy previously serve as the executive editor and host of the PBS television series Religion & Ethics Newsweekly, a production of Thirteen/WNET in New York. A veteran television news correspondent, he worked at NBC News for more than four decades and reported on a wide variety of national and international events. In 1984, he took a 1-year leave from NBC to study theology and social ethics at Yale Divinity School. He is the author of Introduction to Tomorrow, a history of U.S. involvement with the rest of the world from 1945 to 1965. Mr. Abernethy received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
