Ana Akhtar

Vice President of Donor Services, Silicon Valley Community Foundation

As vice president of donor services, Ana Akhtar leads a department of 20 professionals across various operations teams—including gifts, grants, scholarships and consulting – that facilitate the annual distribution of more than $2 billion in grants to over 5,000 nonprofit organizations. Ana is responsible for the strategic direction of SVCF’s donor services to ensure that SVCF delivers value to donor and grantees. Prior to joining SVCF in 2020, Ana was at KPMG LLP for over 19 years in the philanthropic consulting department, serving in various roles. She advised top 20 private foundations and Fortune 500 companies on social investments. She delivered solutions across multiple issue areas, including operational planning, nonprofit effectiveness, risk assessments, programmatic and financial evaluations, development of signature programs, strategic partnerships and community grantmaking.Ana holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Middlebury College and a master’s degree in accounting from University of Miami.
