Ms. Wise is Vice President and Philanthropy Advisor at Bessemer Trust. In this role, she provides guidance on negotiating major gifts, selecting charitable vehicles, developing grantmaking strategies and guidelines, governance best practices, succession planning, and engaging the next generation in philanthropy. She also helps to design and facilitate foundation board and multigenerational family meetings.
Prior to joining Bessemer, Alyson served as Associate Director for the Rockefeller Foundation, leading strategy and programming related to jobs and economic empowerment. She leverages over ten years of experience consulting for family philanthropies and working in corporate, private, and operating foundations. She is an experienced facilitator and author of next generation grantmaking curricula.
She has served on numerous boards and advisory groups including the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative and the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals Taking Animals into Loving Spaces (TAILS).
Alyson earned an M.P.A. from New York University, where she was a Lisa Goldberg Philanthropy fellow, and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
