In collaboration with the Monitor Institute, a social impact consultancy and think tank, the National Center for Family Philanthropy would like to invite you to join a virtual focus group to discuss What’s Next for Philanthropy, a research and innovation process that helps both foundations and donors apply cutting edge innovation and user-centered design methodologies to explore the future of philanthropy. The What’s Next effort aims to engage leaders within and beyond the field in re-examining new and existing models for giving by building on the structures, approaches, and best practices of today, and looking forward to imagine new possibilities for tomorrow.
In these focus groups, the Monitor team will present early findings from the research, test emerging ideas and hypotheses, and gather more nuanced insights on specific issues that the field faces. Family philanthropy has a critical place in American giving. This focus group will help us better understand your unique needs and position organizations like NCFP to better support you in the future. We hope this discussion will give you a helpful preview of emerging trends in the field as well as the opportunity to lift up some of the exciting work you are doing.
This focus group is specifically for family foundation CEOs and leadership. In advance of the event, the Monitor team will send a 20 min pre-read. If you are able and willing to participate, please register and we will share with you a calendar invitation with a Zoom video conference link.
Trustees at family foundations should attend the focus group on August 5, 2020.
