The United States is navigating a critical moment in our history as core principles and structures of democracy are under attack. The hyperpolarization of public discourse leaves smaller ground for effective policy formation on any issue.
At the same time, however, there are movements across the country that are working to bridge divides, shore up and strengthen justice and equity. Many giving families are looking for ways to support these democracy-strengthening efforts and increase civic engagement.
Join us for a conversation with several community foundation colleagues who will share stories and learnings about what is working well, what is challenging, and how best to talk with philanthropic families about supporting democracy-strengthening efforts.
And please come prepared to share what your community foundation is doing in this area!
Note: This event and related materials are available only to staff of NCFP’s Community Foundation subscribers. If your organization is not yet a member of the Community Foundations Family Philanthropy Network, you can learn more and join here.
