The role of the board chair as a philanthropic leader is ever-evolving, yet leadership is a resource that goes through cycles, or seasons. As leaders, we must learn to understand our own seasons, those of our organizations, and those of our partners. In this peer-led session, Network Co-Chairs Liz Bonner and Katherine Osborne Valdez will facilitate small group conversations continuing to explore the framework of seasonality that was introduced at the NCFP Leadership Retreat by Carlos Saavedra of the Ayni Institute. We will then delve into personal journeys and how seasonality shows up in family philanthropy. In connection with peers, we will use the seasonality framework to reflect on the year coming to a close and start planning for the year ahead.
For this interactive meeting, we encourage attendees to join with webcams on. To help foster candid discussions, peer network events are not recorded. If you are unable to attend this event, but are interested in being a part of the Board Chair Peer Network, sign up here.
