Family Philanthropy Online

 

What is FP Online?

The Family Philanthropy Online Knowledge Center is a searchable, comprehensive, and constantly updated collection of more than 800 downloadable articles, case studies, profiles, research reports, sample policies, and discussion papers related to family philanthropy.

 

FP Online is an educational tool and content service created for networks of donors, philanthropic families, and their advisors, wherever they are found.  Subscribers include community foundations, regional associations of grantmakers, financial and legal advisor firms, philanthropic consultant firms and other organizations working to support the growth of effective family philanthropy.

 

What types of information can be found in FP Online?

FP Online Content is drawn from the National Center for Family Philanthropy's complete collection of publications and issue papers, individual foundations and our Content Partners.

 

Examples of just some of the many topics covered in the Knowledge Center include:

  • Teaching and involving your children in family philanthropy

Are there any additional FP Online benefits?

  • Family Philanthropy Teleconference Series             Yes!  Subscribers to FP Online are eligible to participate in the National Center's Family Philanthropy Teleconference Series. This monthly series features experts and practitioners on a wide range of topics, including raising charitable children, effective family governance and new trends in family philanthropy.  FP Online subscribers receive complimentary access to these monthly calls.

Note: As of May 1, 2007, the teleconference series will only be available as a benefit to Friends of the Family and to subscribers of FP Online and will no longer be available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

 

How can your staff, members, and donors use the information included in FP Online?

  • Use information found in FP Online to support the needs of your members or donors.

  • Research agenda items for board meetings

  • Use information found in FP Online as handouts for board discussions

  • Share articles found in FP Online in foundation newsletters
