Office Assistant
The National Center
for Family Philanthropy is recruiting for an Office Assistant, who
will be responsible for providing general office and administrative support
for the National Center including reception, data entry, publications
fulfillment, mail, records maintenance, supplies and other office duties as
assigned.
The National Center for Family Philanthropy is non-profit resource center
that provides families and donors with assistance and support in helping
build and sustain their philanthropic giving programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives and
screens telephone calls and visitors.

Sorts and
distributes incoming mail.

Maintains office
files, both paper and electronic.

Performs data entry
and generates mailings as requested.

Assists with
accounting and other office services tasks as requested.

Fulfills
publication requests and maintains the publications inventory and records.
-
Coordinates large
mailings. Prepares and ships materials for meetings and conferences.

Maintains the
office supply inventory. Orders and receives supplies; researches vendors;
organizes and maintains supply storage units and break area.

Undertakes special
projects and assignments as directed.
POSITION
REQUIREMENTS:
-
High School diploma, with 2 - 3 years experience providing administrative
and clerical support in a business environment. Experience in a small,
highly active office preferred.

Able to meet high production and performance expectations.

Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to effectively and
diplomatically interact with visitors, staff, Board members and other
constituents. High energy, strong team orientation and willingness to be
helpful.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and set-up useful
systems for accomplishing work. Skilled in using word processing,
spreadsheet and presentation software. Working knowledge of standard office
equipment.
